SURVEY on interactive Documentary.

This Survey will ONLY take a few MINUTES and will HELP me and further students to IMPROVE the genre of interactive documentary. Your answers will be anonymous. Did you like the possibility to navigate free between most scenes?


 Yes. It was easy and gave me the possibilities of enjoying documentaries that I always wanted.

 Yes. It was easy and effective.

 It was a new way of experience a documentary, but I got lost during the movie because of the navigation.

 I liked the interactivity but I would prefer a linear flow of the movie.

 No. It was confusing. The content did not reach me because of the interactivity.

Did you see all scenes?


 All. I navigated to every scene during the movie.

 All. At the end I used the Overview to navigate to the scenes I missed.

 I saw most scenes. But I was not interested in seeing all scenes.

 Only a few. I lost interest during the movie and quit.

Do you think you have learned something about Jizō and Japan?


 Yes. I have learned a lot because the content was presented very interesting.

 Yes. But I would have learned more with a normal, linear documentary.

 Yes. But I was more interested in the atmosphere and the video footage.

 No. A normal website with the same content as a text would have taught me more.

 No. I did not really understand the content because it was presented in a way I do not like.

Would you like to see more documentaries with an interactive navigation?


 Yes. It was very inspiring and the content was much easier to understand.

 No. I do not like non-linear storytelling. I would prefer normal and linear documentaries.

Did you read more about the topic of Jizō and Japan in the internet (or elsewhere) after the documentary?


 No. I have learned everything I wanted to know.

 No. But I got curious about other topics concerning Japan.

 Yes. The documentary made me curious about the topic.

 Yes. I wanted to check if the content of the documentary was correct.

 Yes. I did not learn enough during the documentary.

Will you recommend this documentary to others?


 Yes. I want others to learn about Jizō and interactive documentary too.

 Yes. I want to show others what interactive documentary is about.

 No. I do not think that I know people who are interested in interactive documentary.

What was your main interest while watching?


 Jizō and Buddhism and Shintoism religion.

 Only your informations about the Japanese society and culture.

 I was more interested in the atmosphere and the videos.

 Noting in particular. I just let myself carry on.

How much time you spent approximately for watching this documentary?


 More than 2 hours.

 About 1 hour.

 About 30 minutes.

 I quit after about 10 minutes.

 From a friend.

 I found it on a search engine by chance.

 I searched the web for Mizuko Jizō.

 Over your website.

 I was following the link from another website.
